The diary ends at Page 8, with the rest of the pages seemingly torn out. However, the pieces of paper discovered on the floor have writing on them, which is thought to be from the missing papers. It's unclear why they were there, but evidence hints that "Daniel" — or anyone else living in the house — felt emotional disturbance at some point, tearing the diary apart.
